Ephemera.
Documenti, ornamenti e pizzini. Esempi sull'arte di informare sull'arte
riss(e), Varese
2–10 Marzo 2013
inaugurazione sabato 2 marzo 2013, ore 18

"new (art) order." released Feb., 2013
"a certain number of books." new edition:2. new (art) order
A comic-book, a parody about the milanese artworld (with e.t. aliens): we commissioned a young novelist to write a story that will be illustrated by 12 different artists. We didn’t want to invite professional cartoonists, but rather some visual artists who often use the technique of drawing in their art practice.
We asked each artist to draw a couple of pages, so that it is one story, but when you leaf through the book every 2 pages has different drawings, as if there were different actors and directors working at the same script.
Giancarlo Norese and Luca Scarabelli (ed. by): "new (art) order."
With drawings by Cuoghi Corsello, Luca Bertolo, Olinsky, Cesare Biratoni, Alvise Bittente, Eva Marisaldi, Pierluigi Calignano, Lisa Rampilli, Marco Vaglieri, Giuliano Guatta, Daniele Giunta, Anna Hilti.
Script by Maurizio Temporin, Igor Della Libera.
First edition, February 2013: 120 copies, unnumbered.

Out of Place_an ongoing archive, Berlin
22:37 cultural association and berlinerpool are pleased to invite you to “Out of Place_an ongoing archive” in CORPO 6 galerie:
Thursday 13. December 6 pm, CORPO 6 galerie, courtyard, entrance C, first floor, Herzbergstrasse 55, 10365 Berlin.
“Out of Place_an ongoing archive” is an open and continuously upgradable archive, which was established with the aim of providing an overview of the widest possible range of theoretical references and ideas concerning the concept of nomadism in relation to the forms of contemporary artistic production. Behind the project is the idea that being out of place is the condition which enables a person to continuously reposition himself in one place. This process, not only physical, it is necessary to build the constantly changing sense of our presence in the space. The installation contains around eighty documents sent by artists, critics and curators. The first corpus of the archive has been shown in the section Independents3 of ArtVerona, Italy, in October. The visitors will be asked to contribute once again to the construction of the archive by participating directly in the cataloguing and indexing of the various contributions present in Out of Place. In this way, as a welcome guest, the archive will find its temporary location within CORPO 6.
PROGRAM:
VERNISSAGE 13 Dec, 6 pm
> food specific by Panem et Circenses.
> 9.30 pm live set by Iku Sakan.

La Festa dei Vivi 3, San Cesario di Lecce
First of all we would like to sincerely thank all those who have sent their words relative to the encounter of November 2nd. We have received hundreds of contributions as well as the feeling of an experience that has been strongly shared. An experience that evokes the limitlessness of a space that belongs to all of us, as well as those that are no longer with us.
Over the day of December 1st, we recorded all the words and sentences sent by the participants, using the old "fresco" technique, on the walls of "Lu Cafausu". It was a moment of celebration and reflection, as well as an attempt to create a physical space where all the individual stories, references and affects can compose a whole. It also functioned as a homage to "Lu Cafausu", an "imaginary place that really exists".
We met on December 1st, 2012, from noon to the sunset, around "Lu Cafausu".
In early November, people from across the world celebrate the Day of the Dead, remembering those who passed away and often visiting their graves. In one way or another, we all try to establish contact with our loved ones, and sometimes we consider our own common and mortal destiny, therefore reflecting upon death in general.
On occasion of the 3rd edition of “The Celebration of the Living (who reflect upon death)”, we have proposed a collective action, open to everyone, which has been held in different places at the same time. Each participant has met his/her loved ones, friends and relatives who passed away. Everyone has tried to imagine and configure the right way to get in touch with the dead either through ritual, gesture, or thought.
A plurality of people was in contact, at exactly the same moment, with others who are no longer with us. This created a shared space of life and death. A space between they, the dead, and we, the living, who share their destiny of finitude.
All contributions sent by participants can be found at www.lucafausu.tk.
Thanks to Marsèlleria for its support and for making this event possible.

| On the way to the Guadalupe Cemetery. |
As a part of their stay at the Arizona State University Art Museum’s International Artist Residency Program, on Nov. 8th, 2012 Emilio Fantin and Giancarlo Norese introduced the project at Combine Studios on Roosevelt Row in Phoenix.
Since 2010, every Nov. 2nd, they consider the relationship between the living and the dead by organizing a public art event. This was the first of a series of meetings that will help develop a collaborative process for the realization of the 4th edition that will be taking place in Phoenix in the Fall of 2013.
In Phoenix, there is new creative energy developing constantly. The diverse cultural and artistic scenes present in the city make it fertile ground for the success of this project.
With the local community help and valued participation the project can continue and become more dynamic.
Some discussions on different notions of life and death have been organized, as well as interviews, visits and explorations of the area.
Thanks to Premio NCTM e l'Arte, 2012.
