(S)trace(S) est un Group Show qui met en scène la trace, le document, l'empreinte, le protocole de réalisation d'une oeuvre, la copie d'une création, la poésie du Fake.

(S)trace(S) à la Galerie du Chacha le 29 Janvier 2016 à 21.30h. Les Pièces sont essentiellement imprimées en format A4, A3, A1 illustrées par des textes, des visuels explicatifs. Les oeuvres existent ou sont en projet. Une trace d'une action est mise en boucle sur un ordinateur ou un cadre analogique. Une performance est jouée en direct. Les murs en tissus sont habillés de traces photographiques, photocopiques, copies d'oeuvres. 

Le lieu Boudoir est un lieu Conceptuel et Transgenre, un Troisième lieu entre la galerie et le club, un environnement hybride composé d'art contemporain, du monde de la nuit, et d'une ambiance intime qui évolue en présence du public.

La Boîte de nuit redevient un lieu de strass, de trace de présence illicite. La Galerie du chacha est un endroit interdit a la fois Underground dans lequel se deploie une énergie Berlinoise.

Riposizionamenti è la ventiduesima tappa del progetto Roaming ed è l'ultima azione che avviene all'interno della “Fabbrica rosa” di Harald Szeemann a Maggia, Canton Ticino, Svizzera.

Dieci artisti esercitano per un'ora una presenza transitoria in uno spazio dal fortissimo valore simbolico.

Il video di Jacopo Rinaldi costituisce la documentazione di questa esperienza e con il suo racconto ne restituisce lo spirito evocando, mescolati all’indugiare del pubblico, il raggio di Pier Paolo Coro e Rita Canarezza, il respiro di Ermanno Cristini, la mappatura sonora di Hanna Hildebrand, il testo visivo di Francesca Mangion, l’aspirapolvere di Giovanni Morbin, l’archivizione per interposta persona di Andrea Nacciarriti realizzata da Alessandro Castiglioni, il trolley di Giancarlo Norese, la passeggiata in esilio di Una Szeemann, l’assenza di Margaretha Zelle.

Come le ombre, le polveri di scaffali, mobili e documenti, le performance e questo video sono la traccia di un semplice passaggio; una presenza fantasmatica in un tempo sottile. E, indirettamente, sono un contributo al dibattito avviato da Ermanno Cristini su UnDo.Net a proposito dell’attualità dell’attitudine e della sua forma.

Inviti cartacei, poster, manifestini, cartoline, calendari ecc. formano quell’universo di comunicazione di base che affianca le mostre, a cavallo tra registro informativo e interpretativo.
Si tratta di emblemi che accompagnano le opere, importanti per le invenzioni grafiche, per le sintesi, per la "sceneggiatura", per le illustrazioni e le impaginazioni che molte volte sono a cura degli artisti stessi e forse importanti anche per il solo rimando "nostalgico" che ci porta lì ancora in quel momento, giusto con poche parole e la carta che sfugge...
Gli ephemera hanno un immaginario e una creatività applicata che è da rivalutare e da mettere sotto osservazione, soprattutto a distanza di tempo quando ormai si sono completamente emancipati dalla “necessità di essere utili”. Ed è da riconsiderare quando, se ci si volge indietro, risulta tutta la distanza del cambiamento che contraddistingue ora il modo di comunicare l’arte, connotato da informazioni che principalmente viaggiano in rete con le e-mail. Si può dire che nel presente gli ephemera sono sempre più “ephemera”, al punto che vivono, in forma immateriale, per frazioni ridottissime di tempo.

Dunque in questo caso si tratta di un aprire i cassetti senz’altra ambizione che non sia quella di guardarci dentro, a titolo di prima occhiata per una futura più organica e ampia ricognizione.
È stato fissato un periodo temporale, gli ultimi vent’anni, un tempo assolutamente arbitrario, dovuto unicamente al fatto che l’idea di questa ricognizione si deve a Luca Scarabelli, che ha iniziato ad occuparsi d’arte appunto agli inizi degli anni ’90. Alla base della mostra, una collezione di Ephemera raccolti da Scarabelli, a cui si sono integrati materiali provenienti da altri artisti, ognuno dei quali ha aperto i propri cassetti e messo a disposizione i propri documenti.
Ci aspettiamo che allineando i materiali sui tavoli, seppur fuori da un’archiviazione sistematica, possano svilupparsi nessi, rimandi, suggestioni, rimbalzi, scarti, e in ultima analisi pensieri, che, dentro il “profumo di carta”, possano dirci qualche cosa di più circa gli orizzonti poetici.

Out of Place_an ongoing archive, Berlin

22:37 cultural association and berlinerpool are pleased to invite you to “Out of Place_an ongoing archive” in CORPO 6 galerie:

Thursday 13. December 6 pm, CORPO 6 galerie, courtyard, entrance C, first floor, Herzbergstrasse 55, 10365 Berlin.

“Out of Place_an ongoing archive” is an open and continuously upgradable archive, which was established with the aim of providing an overview of the widest possible range of theoretical references and ideas concerning the concept of nomadism in relation to the forms of contemporary artistic production. Behind the project is the idea that being out of place is the condition which enables a person to continuously reposition himself in one place. This process, not only physical, it is necessary to build the constantly changing sense of our presence in the space. The installation contains around eighty documents sent by artists, critics and curators. The first corpus of the archive has been shown in the section Independents3 of ArtVerona, Italy, in October. The visitors will be asked to contribute once again to the construction of the archive by participating directly in the cataloguing and indexing of the various contributions present in Out of Place. In this way, as a welcome guest, the archive will find its temporary location within CORPO 6.

The costum of listening to or reading travel experiences, pathways towards something distant and not yet reached, made that the imagery to what is distant and unknown assume a greater importance in determining our perception of geography and meaning of our presence in some places.
Depending on how a place or an event, for example, are told in pictures or words we tend to place them in a space, to construct meanings and projecting wishes.
Precisely because the constant dialogue of the association 22:37 grows at a distance, trying to maintain a critical approach on issues deemed urgent not only in cultural, but also the social context in which the association is active, for Indipendents3 22:37 proposes a reflection on nomadism and imaginary, presenting two projects that explore, challenge and expand the geography of some places.

Out of Place_an ongoing archive is an open and continuously upgradable archive, which was established with the aim of providing an overview of the widest possible range of theoretical references and ideas concerning the concept of nomadism in relation to the forms of contemporary artistic production
The installation contains around fifty documents sent by artists, critics and curators who have made their contribution to the first corpus of the archive.

“Il passato è una struttura fragile, costantemente a rischio. Questa vulnerabilità segreta, non dichiarata, è legata ad una semplice considerazione: il passato è un tempo, è un luogo che non c’è più, non esiste: non possiamo vederlo, toccarlo, viverlo. A noi ne restano esclusivamente delle tracce, i segni lasciati a terra dalle cose trascinate (...)

Il passato è dunque una costante operazione di consapevolezza: è costruzione e interpretazione esercitata nel presente e soggetta a tutte le possibili oscillazioni che l’oggi manifesta o subisce. Il rapporto tra passato e presente, in questa prospettiva, risulta non lineare, complesso e spesso anche imprevedibile (...) 
Con il frammentario materiale di un passato riorganizzato ho invitato gli artisti a costruire una nuova storia, una narrazione visiva che diviene un ponte tra passato e futuro, ricordo e desiderio, nel tentativo di mappare un paesaggio, quello del nostro passato, che non c’è più...”

An autonomous society is different than a heteronomous one (hetero = others) because while all societies make their own imaginaries (institutions, laws, traditions, beliefs and behaviors), autonomous societies are those in which their members are aware of this fact, and explicitly self-institute (αυτο-νομούνται). In contrast, the members of heteronomous societies attribute their imaginaries to some extra-social authority (i.e. God, ancestors, historical necessity). On the occasion of its public presentation, archiviazioni has invited Stefanos Tsivopoulos to elaborate an archive image which represents the main concept and the aims of the project. I Want My Utopia Back is a reflection on the concept of Autonomy in relation to that of Archiving as an action. This transformative process that goes from information to knowledge, from institutional construction to social action and the formation of an autonomous consciousness, was also the basis of democracy in ancient Greece. For Tsivopoulos, archives do not necessarily server as ‘representatives’ of the historical truth, but rather as another way to tell a story. This story aims to reflect the creative and imaginary possibilities of our times. Stefanos Tsivopoulos (Prague, 1973) is a Greek artist/filmmaker who lives and works in Athens and Amsterdam. His research reflects on history and historical memory as a narrative construction – a construction mediated by images that have been edited and re-edited, and deprived from images that were never taken or that are lost. In his films he is blurring fact and fiction, past and future, as he is less interested in extracting the truth from these narrative constructions, but rather in interrogating the possibilities and qualities that lie within them. It is the ambiguous nature of image, and its shift from an aesthetic object, to commodity to archived evidence of historical truth that is on question in his work.

archiviazioni – exercises of investigation and discussion on the contemporary South is an open project of documentation, discussion and action conceived and directed by Giusy Checola and curated together with Luigi Presicce, developed in collaboation with Salvatore Baldi for the production, Anna Cirignola and Elvira De Masi for the relations of the territory. It’s included in the program Lab 12:00 promoted by the SoutHeritage Foundation for contemporary art of Matera (Basilicata, Italy). It presents its activities and its spaces on the 26th March 2011 at its venue, the Laboratory of Art and Architecture of Lecce (Apulia, Italy), an ex tobacco factory based in the heart of Salento.


Archivica

Archivica is an archive in progress that selects and presents national and international art and interdisciplinary publications and reviews, the digital and audiovisual documentation of works and projects by artists, curators and theoricians from local, national and international fields, and in the so called ‘Souths’ of the world. With them Archivica establishes different kind of interactions and collaborations, through the collection of materials, the organizations and co-production of projects, the acquisition of meaningfull Funds for the relation between art and territory.

Archivica has acquired the personal archives of art critic Anna Cirignola, the Fondo Verri Liberi Cantieri of Lecce and the archives of Oreste by Cesare Pietroiusti, Luigi Negro, Emilio Fantin and Giancarlo Norese, including photos, letters, drawings, publications and printed matters produced during the activities of the Oreste Project, from 1997 to 2002.
Archivica has started a long term collaboration with careof/DOCVA Documentation Center for the Visual Arts in Milan, through the exchange of materials, for the promotion of the Southern artistic scene and the collection of untraceable videodocumentation of talks, seminars and projects realized in Italy and abroad by careof in the last twenty years, and through the development of projects of communication and presentation of the materials archived.
It has started various collaborations with projects, archives and art organizations like Expòsito, Observatory for Young Artists, Naples; Index, list of contemporary art in Basilicata promoted by the SoutHeritage Foundation, Matera; Connecting Cultures, Milan, specialized on art projects in the public spaces in relation with the landscape; ESCORIA Nuevos Medios of Quito, the most important archives in Ecuador, specialized in video-art and new media.

Archiviazioni is addressed to artists, curators, cultural operators and students who live and work in Southern Italy, and to everyone who wants to participate to the proposed activities. From here comes the collaboration with SUM Project of Lecce, a network for promotion of independent local music and local reference for the Creative Commons licenses, under which are registered the contents of the website archiviazioni.org, in order to stimulate the access to information and the free circulation of ideas.
